video file#47

L2 learners of sign languages need text and video. Therefore, an option to include short video clips would be a great feature

That’s a great idea. I understand it may be difficult to implement but it would be great to add another field to insert weblinks at least.

That’s a very useful idea!
We are planning to add image support #2. We will check if in addition to images we could also support video in the same way. We would need to restrict file size, codec and resolution however, in order not to blow users’ iCloud storage when syncing.

Would you record your own videos for that or are there public video databases where you would pull the samples?

As Gabriel rightly said, this feauture may end up blowing iCloud storage. Would it be maybe more convenient adding support for weblinks and show a pop up window of the video?

With the Markdown formatting in Wokabulary 6, it is possible to insert clickable links into comments.
We are not planning to add video support, because it is probably a storage issue. Also, I guess people would use existing videos from the internet (YouTube) anyway and linking might be the easiest solution.
